Michael O’Boyle brings more than 30 years of experience in both the provider and payor sectors to his new role as president and CEO of Parallon Business Solutions. Most recently, he was president of UnitedHealth Networks, a division of United Healthcare, where he was responsible for contractual and service relations with care providers for United’s commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and veteran and military lines of business. Prior to his tenure with United, Mike was chief financial officer and then chief operating officer for the Cleveland Clinic. Earlier in his career, he served as the chief financial officer for MedStar Health, Inc. and the Medlantic Healthcare Group (a legacy organization of MedStar). Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business from DeSales University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He serves on the Board of Trustees of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minn., the Board of Directors of the Greenspring Fund in Baltimore, Md., and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Bringing over 25 years of experience in healthcare operations, Jim Fitzgerald oversees two divisions of Parallon Business Solutions—HealthTrust Purchasing Group and Supply Chain Solutions. As president/CEO of HealthTrust, he oversees all financial and operational functions, managing the contracting for suppliers, pharmaceuticals and capital equipment, totaling more than $18 billion annually. During his career, Jim has managed financial operations and auditing, accounts receivable, health information systems and supply chain operations. He is a member of the Federation of American Hospitals and a board member of the Tennessee Minority Supplier Development Council. Jim is a graduate of David Lipscomb University.
During his 23 years at HCA, Jack Lisle has led and developed numerous strategic initiatives in the areas of hospital operations, staff productivity programs and technology, shared services, HRIS, human resources, recruiting, employee retention and contingent staffing. He has held executive positions as CEO, partner and vice president in banking, retail and management consulting. Since 2003, Jack has served as Chief Executive Officer and president of HCA's in-house clinical staffing agency, All About Staffing, a wholly-owned affiliate of HCA Corporation. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.
Eric Ward brings over 20 years of healthcare experience to his leadership role at Parallon Business Solutions. He oversees the Business Performance Group, providing a full spectrum of revenue cycle services. Previously, Eric led HCA's Shared Services division, directing all operations of its revenue cycle initiatives—representing $30 billion in annual net revenue. He successfully directed the consolidation of HCA's business offices into eight Shared Service Centers (SSC), that provide revenue cycle services, payroll, physician credentialing and health information management services. Eric is also responsible for the Physician SSC and National Patient Account Services. He is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University.
Tom Fee has over 28 years of consulting experience with clients that include over 60 hospitals and health systems. His consulting experience includes corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, market/product strategy, scenario-based planning, service line strategy, organizational design, performance profiles and operations improvement. Tom’s experience across the healthcare industry, includes health plans and suppliers such as Aetna, CBS, Cardinal, Johnson & Johnson and Roche Group. Tom will lead a team offering consulting services relevant to revenue cycle management, supply chain solutions and labor management at Parallon. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and has an MBA from Harvard.
With over 17 years of experience in healthcare sales and sales operations leadership, Kirk Richardson is responsible for driving the sales and marketing strategy for all four Parallon business units and for the oversight of Parallon's strategic account relationships. He has successfully developed and led strategies for corporate accounts, healthcare facility project design and management, clinical education, consulting services and sales operations in addition to direct sales management for a prominent medical manufacturer. Kirk received his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University in Louisiana.
Joe Roddy brings 15 years of management experience in manufacturing, engineering specialties, healthcare and I.T. to his role as vice president of Project Services for Parallon Business Solutions. He has successfully managed projects that include new product development, I.T. infrastructure, systems development, compliance programs and process improvement and transformation. Joe received his Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.
Roger Smith is Parallon’s executive vice president of Human Resources. He was most recently vice president of Human Resources for the Hospital Corporation of America’s (HCA) Continental Division and HealthONE. Prior to joining HCA in 2001, Roger led a global training organization for a major software company headquartered in Denver. In the decade before that, he also provided human resources and process improvement consulting to major corporations. Specializing in Organizational Communication, Roger earned his Ph.D. in Human Communication Studies from the University of Denver.
Dwayne Gunter has a proven track record of success in building, transforming and improving organizations focused on delivering healthcare technology while providing excellence in customer service. Prior to joining HCA, Dwayne was managing partner in ePartners Inc., (a national healthcare partner he established with Microsoft), specializing in the implementation of enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and business intelligence solutions. Previous experience also includes serving as executive vice president of Momentum Health, president and founder of Signia Solutions, COO of Zeal Group and CFO of Golden Books’ Nashville Division. Dwayne holds an MBA in finance and a doctorate in leadership.
